Is this pain from my heart or just muscle pain?

I have a pain in my chest that only hurts when I move a certain way, I think its more in my back but it is close to my heart, it just feels like a sore muscle as if it was pulled or twisted. Help? :(

    Muscle pain

  3. If your pain is brought on by moving a certain way it is more than likely muscle pain as you originally thought. Cardiac pain is usually brought on by activity such as walking up stairs or mowing the lawn etc. and goes away with rest. If your pain will go away with Ibuprofen or Tylenol something along those lines you are looking at muscle pain. There are other things you need to look at too. How old are you? Are you m or f? Anyone else in your family have cardiac problems and at what age etc. USUALLY heart problems dont happen until 40 ish or older (not saying it cant happen younger) and are more likely to occur if someone in your family has had problems especially if it happened to them before the age of 65. Textbook cardiac pain is usually a dull heavy feeling associated with activity that is accompanied by sweats nausea/vomiting and shortness of breath… however, everyone is different and especially woman have odd signs of heart pain. Weigh your odds of having actual cardiac problems age, family, environment (smoker, overweight etc) if you dont fall into any of those take mild over the counter pain med and see if it helps if no help in an hour or so get in to see your Dr.

  4. this sounds like a muscular pain or strain
