Chosen Answer:

I would call and talk to a pharmacist. They are muscle relaxers and could suppress your central nervous system. If it was prescribed to take 1, that is what I would take. I would not want to take any chances of an overdose.

it is a kick butt muscle relaxer and my drug of choice when I have spasms from arthritis.
i don’t use it often because it makes me feel boneless, which is the whole point I guess.
It is also called Soma and is definitely a narcotic. Most doctors are very reluctant to write much of a prescription for it and I am lucky to get a 4-5 day supply no matter how much I hurt but it works for me very well.

My sister in Seattle sees a chiropractor named Dr Walia for her back pain. His website is http://www.drwalia.com Maybe you could email him with some questions or just get some information from the site. Hope this helps!

Chosen Answer:

You need an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen. This can be bought over the counter and you do not need a prescription. Exercise caution though if you suffer with asthma or upset stomachs a lot.

shes always complaining everyday about her muscle pain in her arm and she constantly has a back ache.

Chosen Answer:

For her back ache she should try this, it will loosen up the pinched muscles in her back which is where the pain is coming from:
Back:
Place your left hand on your left knee. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and with your fingertips find the muscle next to your spine. Press on it and hold. Relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don’t tense up any part of your body. After about 30 seconds there should be a release happening and when it does slowly lower yourself forward onto your right leg. If you can lean over the outside edge of your leg it will be better for your release. Continue holding for a total of one minute. Then release but rest your body there for one minute longer. Then reverse and do the right side.
For her arms, have her rest them one at a time on a table beside her in a bent position and you put pressure on two sides of the painful areas and squeeze the areas fairly tight and hold for 30 seconds. Then have her slowly straighten out her arm all the way. Then you release the pressure but have her now rest her arm on the table again but in that straightened position.

I have a drug test coming up, and I took 350mg of carisoprodol (Soma) a few days ago. How long can Soma be detected in a gc/ms urine test?
Thank you.

Chosen Answer:

Are they going to be testing specifically for it? If they have no reason to test for it, they won’t. GCMS is EXPENSIVE, so when that urine goes into that machine, they have a list of exactly what they are looking for. If it is a fairly standard “what’s in your pee” kind of tests, it will likely be for marijuana, cocaine, PCP, benzos, opiates, barbiturates, amphetamines and MDMA-class drugs. None of which carisoprodol is.

I think I saw another question where you asked about Trazadone or something like that as well. They would not test for that under almost any circumstance because it is an anti-depressant, and not considered a drug of abuse nor a controlled substance. While Somas are a drug of some low-scale abuse, they are pretty much under the radar. They are not even a controlled substance in every state.

So unless those testing you have a *specific reason* for looking for these drugs, they won’t test for them.

EDIT: Ohh yeah, and if for some reason they do have a reason to test for those drugs (maybe they know that those are your 2 drugs of choice or something), I would assume somas probably stay in your system for around 2 – 5 days, and Trazadone would be a bit longer, possibly 1 – 2 weeks. Of course these are just my estimates, since these are not typically drugs tested for so there is little to no literature available on the time ranges.
