pain in abdomen when sitting down its more like muscle pain could it be from working out?

its more like muscle pain could it be from working out and pulled a muscle or something it gotten better today.
also when i turn my neck it also hurts

Chosen Answer:

Sounds like an abdomin and thoracic strain. It could be a result of heavy lifting.
When you say working out, what activity do you mean? Running, weight lifting, swimming, biking, martial arts, climbing, etc?

If you have sharp pain, it could be a hernia issue and may want to get it checked out by the doctor for diagnostic testing.

Good luck.

is it normal to have muscle pain around a break 4 weeks after it happened?

i know this is when its growing back together, so is it?

Chosen Answer:

You probably have trigger points or tender knots in the muscles around the break if what you are feeling is actually muscle pain. Massaging them and holding continuous moderate pressure can make them go away for good.

Also, you can sometimes get bone formation in traumatized muscle, which normally goes away after away.

Does lack of salt cause muscle pain?

I was a little unsure when my mate suggested my recent shoulder pain and now calf muscle pain could be related to a lack of salt in my diet. Now that I think of it i pretty much never have salt on my food, unless its already in it. Could he be onto something here?

Also how can I speed up recovery of a sore/cramping calf muscle, I have a surf competition this week and need to get back to 100% soon!

Chosen Answer:

It could. Salt prevents your body from dehydration. Dehydration causes cramps. Eat a bag of beef jerky and see if it helps. On occasion, I take long-distance bicycle rides; I mean 100′s of miles on a given weekend. To prevent, leg cramps I’d drink lots of water, usually a gallon, and eat bags of beef jerky. It does actually help prevent cramps. By the way, salt and sodium are one and the same.

Cold or Hot Bath To Relieve Muscle Pain?

Is the best way to relieve sore, pulled, and hurting muscles to soak in a cold or hot bath?

Also, are there any other methods of relieving this pain?

Chosen Answer:

Icing for 20 minute periods the 1st 24 hours is best, then switch to hot moist packs or hot baths + gentle massage with pain-relieving cream. Ask any pharmacist about creams.

pharmacy question prescription muscle relaxants?

can crushing 2 soma muscle relaxant 350mg aka carisoprodol and drinking it with orange juice every night cause organ damage? i ask because i have a friend who does it every night before she goes to bed and i told her to stop but she insist it’s fine that she does it all the time this is not a troll question and no troll answers
also my friend is 5’9 210 pounds
i want a simple yes or no or a detailed answer nobody tell me to get her help or she will die that is not a answer to my question if you can’t answer this question with a yes no or with some detail then go find a question you CAN answer correctly
also my friend recently has been less hungry she normally eats a lot and she told me she only eats once a day now if shes hungry and shes full when she eats or drinks just a little bit of anything and she mentioned having trouble going to the bathroom she said shes always tired does this have to do with her crushing the pills and drinking them with orange juice?

Chosen Answer:

Genertic, Any that u take for years runs the risk of Liver damage but it takes a lot, ur Liver purifies the toxins from the body, I would not worry right now but later down the line it can, Soma is a pain medication but used for several other things. It’s never a good idea to crush or chew pills unless perscribed by the doc. Best of Luck

Chosen Answer:

Soma is recommended for 2-3 weeks with the maximum single dose of 350mg. The drug is metabolized by the liver and excreted through the kidney; taken in recommended dosages the drug poses no threat to the body. Soma can cause mood swings and personality changes so the changes you’re noticing in your friend can be a result of the medication. Being tired all the time can stem from taking too much of the drug which is causing a need for extra sleep she isn’t getting. Too tired, no appetite and the cycle continues.
Your friend is very fortunate to have someone like you who is concerned about her welfare. If you have the opportunity to read the label on the medication and find she isn’t following the directions, you can be an even better friend and notify the prescribing physician. While they are bound by confidentiality laws making them unable to discuss patient information with you, they should be willing to accept information concerning a client’s well-being. The information you have to share will give them the opportunity to help your friend without mentioning your name. Doing so removes you from having to have a confrontation with your friend; if the doctor doesn’t supply the prescription, she can’t take the medication. There are alternatives.
