How long does it take for whiplash to go away? How do you alleviate the pain?

I was rear-ended by a car going about 25 mph last week. There is still so much pain in my neck and back, especially my left shoulder blade. Neither ice nor heat help. I’m taking a prescription pain-killer and anti-inflammatory medicine for the muscles, but the pain isn’t going away. I’m fairly young, so this should heal fast and not hurt as badly, but it’s hurting A LOT. What can I do to make it hurt less?!

How can I relieve muscle pain after squats?

I did a few super sets 3 days ago and I can still hardly move. My inner thighs are killing me. I thought I stretched well following, but evidently not.

Chosen Answer:

Stretching will not prevent pain or muscle damage. You will have to learn for yourself how fast you can make progress and not push yourself beyond that point. ∠°)

how do i recover fast from upper left back muscle pain?

i’ve been playing handball and baseball for long hours for past days and my upper left back muscle started aching AND i have a track competition tomorrow. Is there a way to recover super fast, please hlep thank you.

ugh unfortunately if you strained it only time can help. I would say maybe some heat on it right before your track meet and do some deep stretching.

Good luck!

How do you get rid of leg muscle pain fast?

I went to tennis camp for two days and my legs are killing me from my toes to my thighs. I can hardly climb up stairs or get up after sitting. Is there some special massage I can do to relieve myself from the pain? Thanks.

Chosen Answer:

Rub in Icy’ Hot or Ben Gay. Then use a foam roller and massage the leg to increase blood flow, which will expedite the rehab process. Stay off your feet as much as possible until your muscle pain goes away.

Good luck.

How do i get rid of muscle pain?

Ok so i started track and Field on monday and we did hardcore running and and exercises. Now its tuesday and my legs are KILLING me. I can feel that its my muscles but it hurts really hard and if i walk fast or do anything it really hurts! I have track again tomorrow and im expected to go but i don’t know if i can do it! would i get hurt even more? Is there a way to get rid of muscle pains by tmrw morning?

Chosen Answer:

Not to my knowledge, I play football and Lax and I have experienced this basically on the start of every season. If you go to practice tomorrow, it will hurt in the beginning during warm ups and stretching but once you start running you will forget about it. but after the practice, when you stop pumping and moving your legs will be killing again due to acid building up on the muscles from a lack of oxygen. This will go on for about 3-4 days im guessing getting a bit better after each day.

Now here is what you can do or atleast what helps for me.
1)Drink as much water as you can, this helps with something and speeds up the removal of the acid
2)You can also take a very warm bath, this will suthe your muscels and relax them
3)get a good night sleep
4)drink some Gatorade during practice
5) Pop an advil a half an hour before practice this will take off the achyness and the pain
6) Stretch every moment of the day you can, especially when you wake up, If you can do some dynamic stretching
***I am no doctor, this is simply what I do and I find it to help alot!***

Muscle Pain?

I am 15 yrs old I run track in high school and I just finished crosscountry training and we are about to start training for track. Since I started running my muscles start hurting really bad when I stop but I dont feel it while im running. Its not just when I run its whenever I use my legs for any activity other than walking. I am really fast and one of the best runners on my team but I feel like this pain is holding me back from being a real athlete. Ive been running for about 4 weeks now and I still cant move around freely without pain. The other kids on my team get sore when the run to but when they aren’t they are able to move around and play other sports freely. Is this normal or is something wrong?

Chosen Answer:

15 years of age another 20 years to learn and train your body to reach peak performance. I think you might be running too hard. Therefore stay back a bit and jog, you do not have to win every race and running is all about pacing yourself. Too fast at 15, burnt out at 18!
