My girlfriend left me unexpectedly and everything was going well?

So I met this girl 8 months ago through a friend we talked for about a month got to know each other and everything was great, after about a month we made it official and she was my girlfriend, also I have no family but one sister, I lost both my parents, mom 3 yrs ago and dad this January, she made life so great for me especially with the Hard times I was going through. I treated her like a princess btw( I’m known to be way to super nice to woman) we went on trips I surprised her many times I always tried to keep our relationship alive and fun, I’m also a chronic pain patient that suffers from severe back and muscle pains and go to pain managment and take narcotic pain medication as prescribed which was never a problem, we’ve had some ups and downs but not anything that’s not normal, I’ve always done my best and got out of my way to make her happy as possible and money was never an issue. To get to the point I’m 24 she’s 19 I don’t have 40 hour a week job but inherited several properties and make a very well income but In the past few months I’ve been financially struggling but not to the point where I would ever let her pay for dates etc….it’s a tough time but I will get through it… So about a week ago I was released from the hospital and I’ve noticed for the past month or so something isn’t the same with the way she acts, so I get a text saying I’m not doing anything with my life and don’t go to school or work, where I don’t have the time to work a job because of all the situations from the past and my pains, but I still reciave a very great income every month and am trying my best to make things better. And then I got a text from her saying have a wonderful life and another one a couple days after saying she was sorry it had to end that way and don’t mean to hurt me and she was mad at the moment. I haven’t contacted her since and she called me a couple times and I ignored her texts.. I just dot know what to do I’m lost any advice will greatly be appreciated

How do I prevent muscle soreness from running?

I’ve just started up running and I’ve been running for about four weeks. After every run, I tend to have a lot of pain from muscle soreness. It’s not as bad as it was in the beginning, but I still wouldn’t mind preventing it in some way. A friend of mine recommended stretching before and after running, but this really only alleviates the pain for a few minutes. What else can I do to prevent soreness?

Chosen Answer:

You need to prevent the soreness while you are running. You are probably holding your muscles too tight and creating tension. You need to learn how to keep your body relaxed while running. I used to have this problem too. I was always sore after running and I keep stretching and stretching, but I would still feel stiff and sore. Now I practice being relaxed while running and I rarely stretch any more.

I hope this works for you too.

Who is a doctor that specialises in nerves?

Been getting nerve pain in my left arm. I know it is nerve pain because it doesn’t feel like muscle pain, muscle pain feels different, not numbing like a friend of mine told me. My doc just told me its muscle strain. Thanks

What can I do to relieve bad back muscle pain?

I slept awkward on it Christmas eve and the pain comes and goes. At the moment its really bad behind the right shoulder blade. :(

Chosen Answer:

Hey Steve! You are describing an area of the back with a lot of little adjoining muscles.

It’s actually very easy to damage these – even sneezing in an awkward position can do it! This happened to a friend of mine and she was in severe pain for a good while.

I’m just getting over a similar injury due to lifting my kids up whilst playing with them! So easy to do!

It may be that your awkward sleep was actually caused by an injury earlier the day before, not the other way round.

Either way though, you have an injury and it needs sorting.

The main problem I suspect you are suffering is from inflammation. A cold compress will help relieve pain for a while but given the position i would strongly suggest you take antinflamatories such as ibuprofen to allow the muscle to heal.

Because the other muscles in the area are numerous they are trying to compensate for the damaged one and will cause more aggravation. Take ibuprofen regularly as described on the packet and rest as much as you can. Lifting things with the other side of your body will not save pressure on the damaged area.

If things don’t get better in 3 or 4 days see your GP for more powerful versions of ibuprofen like drugs (naprosyn for example).

Remember if you are asthmatic to be careful with ibuprofen.

also my friend recently has been less hungry she normally eats a lot and she told me she only eats once a day now if shes hungry and shes full when she eats or drinks just a little bit of anything and she mentioned having trouble going to the bathroom she said shes always tired does this have to do with her crushing the pills and drinking them with orange juice?

Chosen Answer:

Genertic, Any that u take for years runs the risk of Liver damage but it takes a lot, ur Liver purifies the toxins from the body, I would not worry right now but later down the line it can, Soma is a pain medication but used for several other things. It’s never a good idea to crush or chew pills unless perscribed by the doc. Best of Luck

What specific word should I use in the english language that means “Muscle Pain”?

For example, my muscle is hurting, I want to let me friend know about it, what should I say?

Does “Myofascial Pain Syndrome” is not the one I’m seeking, I’m looking for the ONE-Word that means Muscle Pain if possible.

Chosen Answer:

Cramping is muscle pain when the muscles are contracting in a painful way.

Or just say muscle pain. You don’t need a fancy word to describe it.

I am currently on probation (long story)…?

Anyway, I recently pulled a muscle in my leg and was given some somas (carisoprodol) by a friend of mine. I honestly NEVER even thought about the possibility of a drug test popping up (dumb, I know) and I didn’t take the medication to get high either so save those comments. However, the next day when I reported, you guessed it, I was tested. I don’t know how long it takes them to get the results…but does soma show on probation screens? I’m freaking out here. And please no “well you should have thought of that blah blah blah” stuff, because trust me, I know. Also, if you can find any actual links for any info add them…it would be really helpful.

Chosen Answer:

Make up a clever story about how it got in your system. Your officer will never suspect that you are trying to hide something.

Here’s an idea….there was a crushed pill and you confused it with parmesan cheese and ate it on your spaghetti.

Painkiller Addiction: IF you’ve been there personally, or have credible knowledge of same, can you answer this?

I have a VERY good Friend, we’ll call her Sheree, 44, who has been taking Painkillers daily for over 6 months. These pills consist of mainly Hydrocodones, “Vicodin” and similar derivatives, as well as occasional “supplements” of Soma and Norcos. Sheree does indeed have some painful afflictions for which she requires these Painkillers, (Kidney Stones, Bladder Infections, Ovarian Cysts, & more.) She begins taking them when she awakens, then every 2-3 hours, throughout the day. In addition, Sheree also ingests a daily regime of Xanex & Carisoprodol pills for “anxiety” issues, in the morning and throughout the day.
When I expressed concern to Sheree that she might become addicted, she was quite adamant that she #1, was NOT addicted, and #2, would know IF she was addicted to either pill regime!
I have only recently learned that Carisoprodol is, alone and by itself, very addictive.
MY QUESTION: In your opinion, are the odds good that Sheree IS addicted to the Painkillers???
If so, what can she do about it, per a semi-painless “Detox”? She is a single mother w/3 children.

Chosen Answer:

Hi there,

I am addicted to Dihydrocodeine. I cannot function without it. If I miss one dose then it feels like my body is closing down. The pain is excruciating!

My guess is that she IS addicted to them and I can openly admit I am.

I take 15 pills a day (Anti-Depressants, Anti-Psychotic, Anti-Anxiety, Weight Loss, Sleeping) and I know I cannot function without them.

If she NEEDS them then she really needs to carry on taking them as they serve a purpose to her ailments.

Does she want to come off of these pills or is it you who is wanting her to?

She can only make that decision for herself. Maybe she is happy taking these meds.

The meds can make her better. I know that Xanax is very addictive but that weighed up against having the Anxiety comes up tops every time!

The only detox she can do is either going cold turkey or coming down gradually off each med.

Good luck!

Did my friend overdose after taking 2 differnt types of pills?

My friend took 1050 mg of carisoprodol and then 3 hours later he took 3 pills of 7/325 mg of oxycodone. He and I are worried because he has been throwing up ever since and anything he puts in to his body makes him throw up. This is his first time using any of these drugs, notheless abusing pills. We want to know if we need to get fluids into him and when it will stop.
I’m going to say that the ER is not an option and it’s really his body just rejecting anything. I may note also that he took both of these pills before eating anything.

Chosen Answer:

ER now don’t tell them the cause just say he’s been throwing up…or say someone spiked the punch at a party at worst its electrolyte imbalance and an IV of dextrose and sodium chloride will help allergic reactions will be treated if the symptoms are visible

EDIT: Fine if that’s not an option then definitely just lots of Gatorade even if he throws it up he’lll absorb some! Also opiates have nausea as a side effect. Carisoprodol has a rapid, 30 minute onset of action, with the aforementioned effects lasting for approximately 2–6 hours. Your friend doesn’t sound like he’s dying if he experiences FAINTING, UNCONSCIOUSNESS, HOTHEADEDNESS ER IS A MUST

I should warn you that your assumption could possibly result in harsh outcomes…if he suffers severe internal damage or death guess who is responsible…LIKE I SAID before you should go to the ER and make up a story like I don’t know why he’s acting like this…if they say he’s alright and don’t run further tests he’s alright if they find something more serious you just saved his life…hospitals won’t generally run drug tests unless something worse occurs or gives them reason to believe he is a drug user

i know i asked this before but it worries me
this question is about my friend not me ok?

Chosen Answer:

Soma is recommended for 2-3 weeks with the maximum single dose of 350mg. The drug is metabolized by the liver and excreted through the kidney; taken in recommended dosages the drug poses no threat to the body. Soma can cause mood swings and personality changes so the changes you’re noticing in your friend can be a result of the medication. Being tired all the time can stem from taking too much of the drug which is causing a need for extra sleep she isn’t getting. Too tired, no appetite and the cycle continues.
Your friend is very fortunate to have someone like you who is concerned about her welfare. If you have the opportunity to read the label on the medication and find she isn’t following the directions, you can be an even better friend and notify the prescribing physician. While they are bound by confidentiality laws making them unable to discuss patient information with you, they should be willing to accept information concerning a client’s well-being. The information you have to share will give them the opportunity to help your friend without mentioning your name. Doing so removes you from having to have a confrontation with your friend; if the doctor doesn’t supply the prescription, she can’t take the medication. There are alternatives.
