I am having bad pain underneath my right armpit. It hurts worse whenever I lift my arm up and or i tighten my breast/chest muscle. It is also causing pain to shoot through my arm, shoulder and back. It is continuesly getting worse. Any ideas or advice would be wonderful. Thank you.
By the way I’m 23 years old and diabetic.
You have a lymph gland that more than likely is swollen you need to have it examined, it may be infected.

I am having trouble handling my muscle pain. My doctor said it is trigger points – balls of muscle that cause reffered pain. So far pain meds, tramadol and darvocet don’t help. Flexeril helps some, pt helps some. ANyone have any ideas of what else helps?? (I am so tired of this pain!!)
Have you been diagnosed with fibromyalgia? There are some new meds for this, I believe Lyrica is one. Also look into seeing an Osteopathic physician (D.O.). These are medical doctors just like M.D.’s that also get training in musculoskeletal manipulation. Look for one that specializes in this type of therapy, Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT).

I’m 7 weeks and for the last week or two I’ve been having muscle pain in my upper abdomine it under my bra around my rib cage area it feels like I did too many crunchs and I haven’t done any so I’m not sure why it hurts any ideas as to why I’m having this pain this early in my pregnancy???
It’s probably just ligament pains. I got them everywhere in my stomach when I was pregnant.

This summer my mom started feeling pain in her right elbow. Later her whole arm would hurt so the doctor said it was probably Tendinitis so she gave her a few exercises to do. Now her joints in her wrist, knees, ankles and toes sometimes hurt. Doctors still don’t know what it could be. Any ideas??
Sounds like some type of Arthritis, like Rheumatoid Arthritis or something like that. I would tell you rmom to go back ot her doc and mention how it has spread to other joints and all that. They may want to do some blood work to make sure nothing else is wrong.

I just started track and I’ve only had it for two days but my legs are as sore as if I’ve been doing it for a week straight. The worst parts are my HIPS and my KNEES. If anyone has good stretches for those… then please let me know! But any other leg stretches are excellent as well. Also, if anyone knows of any other ways to get rid of the pain/soreness, your ideas are much appreciated!
I do sprinting and its six days a week.
so its pretty harshh and i don’t have the time to just let it go away…
Aspirin, soaking in a hot tub, some ben-gay but don’t overdo it, a heating pad, maybe some ice on the knees.
Don’t overdo it. Build up more slowly and don’t hit the pavement so hard.

I’ve tried ice packs to no avail and then switched to a heating pad which seems to help a bit more. It feels like my leg muscles are going to rip apart. I work out on a regular basis at the gym and never had this happen before. Have a feeling it was a new Pilates exercise that I tried, called the “Swim”. Can anyone recommend something to use that would help relieve the pain factor?
DO NOT USE HEAT!!! heat feel better because it motivates blood to rush in and out of the injured muscle… when the heat is removed it is no longer leaving the injured area and it causes pooling. after a while the liquid part of the blood leaves and youre left with the plasma, the solid part of blood. in really sever cases it can calcify and you will have bone in your muscle. use ice 20 minutes on 40 minutes off 3 times MINIMUM or it is not any help at all. after the 1st few days if there is no change see a doctor
