pain in abdomen when sitting down its more like muscle pain could it be from working out?

its more like muscle pain could it be from working out and pulled a muscle or something it gotten better today.
also when i turn my neck it also hurts

Chosen Answer:

Sounds like an abdomin and thoracic strain. It could be a result of heavy lifting.
When you say working out, what activity do you mean? Running, weight lifting, swimming, biking, martial arts, climbing, etc?

If you have sharp pain, it could be a hernia issue and may want to get it checked out by the doctor for diagnostic testing.

Good luck.

Why do i feel an extreme sharp pain in my chest?

It’s not the muscle that’s in pain, but more in the center bone or chest cavity area. There’s a sharp pain whenever i breathe in or when i flex/stretch my chest out. I really can’t do anything under this condition, and I’m pretty sure it didn’t come from working out either, cause I’ve been lifting weights for a good three years and have never felt this pain before.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out. It’s been bothering me for a two whole day now.

Chosen Answer:

There are many conditions that you may have but to get a correct diagnosis be sure to contact a doctor. I have a condition like this but it happens randomly and not when I flex or stretch my chest. It is called costochondritis, the inflammation in the rib cage. It is not severe or life threatening but it is a pain in the butt. So, as I said you may have Myositis, Fibromyalgia, TBCWP or Transitory Benign Chest Wall Pain. To verify, is it right near the middle of your chest, that little line between like a trench running down the middle of your chest? Tell me anything else! Thanks. Please make me best answer and read my name.

What muscle lies under the tricep and runs outboard inboard from shoulder to elbow?

I have been lifting heavy for the past few years and this is the first time I have had any kind of pain in a muscle or under it that prevents me from working that group out. I’m trying to figure out what its called and If I can self medicate it… I know the best thing is to go to a doctor but even though I have free medical our doctors are akin to a monkey banging 2 cymbals together.

Chosen Answer:

I think you’re mistaking the 3 sections at the top of the Triceps for separate muscles.

Each of these sections has “heads”.

The longest head is connected to the Scapula (collar bone).

The Lateral Head is connected to the upper half of the rear of the Humerus.

The Medial (middle) head is connected to the 2 thirds of the rear of the Humerus furthest from the body.

The other end of the muscle joins to the Ulna of the forearm.

On the information you have provided it sounds as if you have a muscle strain which can be relieved by massage.

The sports establishment that you attend may have an on site massage therapist or details of a reputable practitioner, including prices.

I have this weird muscle pain can anyone help?

So its not really a strong pain, its more of a nagging pain/soreness that I am experiencing under my left tricep muscle and deltoid. It’s not strong enough to stop me from working out, but only happens when I am working out. I lift 6 days a week, 2 hours a day. It doesn’t feel like its the muscle itself, but rather under the muscle, its weird.

I have been working out for about an hour everynight really killing my body. And all my muscles are pulled and ache. And I work as a waitress and have to be able to function without too much pain. Any great tricks to ease the pain asap?

Chosen Answer:

Try a hot bath before your shift should help loosen the muscles.. could also try some of the pain relieving creams (OTC) even taking Ibuprofin as its an NSAID and should help with the muscle pain

Well I also workout and run cross country…It’s always best to stretch before working out and massaging the area like the muscle and limbs where you feel the pressure at afterwards. Usually parallel to the muscle. I do that every time and I have soreness for at most a day if I push my hardest.
Definitely drink water before and after.
Some people use a cold/hot patch for muscle pain.

How to stop muscle pain after working out?

I think I strained my muscles while doing sit ups yesterday and today I have really bad pain in that area and it kinda hurts it when I pee I don’t know the technical way to say this but it feels like my pee tube (Is ashamed for saying that) is being stretched and it also feels that way sometimes when I just move to quickly? What exactly have I done to myself? And how long will it take to fix itself?
Ok thanks for answering :)

Chosen Answer:

I don’t think you strained or pulled anything. You could’ve but I doubt. Your muscles have fibers that are ripped apart and are repairing. Anytime you don’t use a muscle enough and then suddenly use it repeatedly and at high intensity, it will hurt for a few days.

Just stay hydrated, eat plenty of food and plenty of food that contains protein, and sleep. You need your sleep more than usual to let your body take care of itself.

Also crunches are more effective than situps. Situps use other body parts to thrust you up each repetitions. Try crunches. Do the crunches that require you to touch your elbows to your thighs each repetition. Also be sure to have the very top of your back and shoulders to hit the floor every rep. Your head does not have to.

what would make a dog with neck soft tissue injury to now loose muscle mass. Is something overlooked?

took him to the vets. they said its a soft tissue injury in his neck. steroids, muscle relaxers and pain med not working. now noticing his neck is getting smaller like hes loosing muscle mass and panting alot and peeing alot for like 2 min strait. He is still in alot of pain. The medicine is not working. I am taking him back tomorrow. could this be something else other than a neck injury?

Chosen Answer:

Side effects – of anti-inflammatory steroids can be numerous. In dogs and less often in cats, the most commonly seen side effects include an increase in thirst and appetite, followed by an increase in urine production, and possible weight gain.

In dogs, panting can be a common side effect, and sometimes mood alterations can occur. These mood changes may make the dog irritable and sometimes can result in a “nice” dog suddenly snapping at its owners. Often times, tapering the dose of steroids down, will result in a decrease of the side effects.

Steroids
Steroids are no longer the first choice recommendation for use as anti-inflammatory in dogs. Steroids lead to loss of muscle mass, which is a big problem in dogs. causes wasting, so to add something that will only increase the loss of muscle mass is not a good line of defense to follow. Natural anti-inflammatories, such as those listed on the Medication and Exercise Schedule page should be the first choice.
