Can you break soma (carisoprodol)?

In half. and take like 1.5 dose or 2 or 3? What is the overdose warning

Chosen Answer:

I would call and talk to a pharmacist. They are muscle relaxers and could suppress your central nervous system. If it was prescribed to take 1, that is what I would take. I would not want to take any chances of an overdose.

Is the muscle pain after getting a booster shot muscle damage? Like that after lifting weights in the gym?

Would eating protein rich foods such as chicken eggs and lean meat balls and pork chops make it heal faster like it would if it was muscle pain after weight-lifting?

How do you make the muscle pain go away as soon as humanly possible?
So, it’s bruising…so swould it affect a guy if he’s a weight-lifter and he just got a booster shot, like a day ago?

Chosen Answer:

no its just bruising and will go within a couple of days

How do I differentiate bone pain from muscle pain in a chronic pain situation in my feet?

I have had chronic pain in my feet since I can remember. I have had bone reconstruction surgery to lower the arch in my foot in the hopes that it would relieve some of the pain.

It did not work.

If I cut the circulation off to one of my feet and go numb, and that stops the pain – does that mean it was muscle or the bone that was the cause of the pain?

In otherwords – if I go numb, and the pain stops does that tell me anything about the source of the pain?

Chosen Answer:

I’m afraid not. You’re numb because you’re pinching off a nerve. Nerves carry pain messages from both muscle and bone. Unless you know exactly which nerve your pinching, you can’t target the pain.

Is there any way to potentiate Soma (Carisoprodol)? And is there any way to counteract the drowsiness?

These are two separate questions, I’m not asking for a combination of the two lol, that would be very contradictory. Any help would be appreciated.

Why doesn’t the NHS use carisoprodol instead of benzos for muscle relaxers?

surely it would be cheaper, less chance of addiction and it works better than benzos! Would save the NHS a canny bit of money? Whats everyone think?
cheers!

Chosen Answer:

While Soma or Carisoprodol is far more effective a muscle relaxer than benzos, which are to be honest, not very good muscle relaxants, it is not necessarily a cheaper drug, and has a much higher rate of abuse than benzodiazepines.

Carisoprodol is a pro-drug, it’s broken by the body into another form, called meprobamate, more commonly known as Miltown. This drug fell almost completely out of use in the 1970s due to replacement with benzos for anxiolysis and sedation, and due to completely rampant abuse.

Not going to disagree about it being more effective, but it does not have less abuse potential than benzos. Of course, there’s always the nice middle ground of something like cyclobenzaprine.

The UK’s use of Benzos is quite odd. The NICE guidelines on their use aren’t followed (and the NICE guidelines are pretty bad too). They seem to at once loathe them and use them sloppily and frequently. This contrasts pretty sharply with the American absolute terror and stigma, and the mainland Europe usage that is much more level headed and practical.

EDIT: Oh yes. Withdrawal from Carisprodol or Meprobamate after developing a dependence on it is apparently one of the worst withdrawals, bar none in existence.
